Calendar - upcoming events

Imari Chorus would like to thank everyone who attended our recent concerts, and for coping with some extreme temperatures ~ it was unseasonably cold in May at St Mary's in Ilkeston, and exceedingly warm in June at Trinity Church in Long Eaton. What a difference a month makes!
Our next performance is at one of our very favourite venues, the historic St Wilfrid's Church in West Hallam, and we are delighted to have been invited to sing two sets as part of the West Hallam Well Dressing event.
We will be singing at 1.30pm & 2.30pm, and we'd love to see you there. It's also a great opportunity to hear us in action if you're considering joining us.
If you want to know more about joining Imari, any of the choir members will be happy to share details with you. We're always on the hunt for new singers to join us.
Coming soon . . .
We are now rehearsing for our winter season: a range of traditional and modern songs, some Christmassy, some not.
Watch this space for more details of times and venues for our Winter fundraiser concerts.
This Man - A Modern Oratorio
Members of Imari Chorus will also again be involved in a performance of 'This Man - A Modern Oratorio', composed by our musical director Anne de Waal, under the musical direction of Dana de Waal.
Saturday 13 March 2027. St Alkmund's Church, 40 Kedleston Road, Derby. DE 21 1GU.
Why not join Imari Chorus?
If you're interested in singing with Imari Chorus and would like to come along to a rehearsal to hear us practice, you'd be very welcome. We rehearse on Thursday evenings between 7.30pm and 9.30pm. You won't have to audition, and don't have to be able to read music either. Our wonderful musical director, Anne de Waal will ensure that you feel comfortable and are singing within your vocal range. We're a lovely friendly group and sing a wide range of music from all genres, some accompanied, some acappella. Check on our Facebook page, as we post any details of holiday weeks there, or email us at imari.chorus24@gmail.com for more information.
